Manual bridge configuration
Connection settings
Section titled “Connection settings”Choose Manual configuration (advanced) when adding seenzus MQTT Bridge, then provide the broker host, port, username, password, topic root, and bridge ID.
Keep the advanced capability switches disabled unless you have a specific need. The integration reloads automatically after saving.
Security
Section titled “Security”- Use a dedicated account with a strong password.
- Only trusted backends may publish to
{topicRoot}/bridge/{bridgeId}/command/+. - Restrict subscriptions to the bridge’s result, state, presence, and catalog topics.
- Prefer TLS, typically on port 8883.
- Keep template rendering, dangerous services, and full config exposure disabled.
Verify
Section titled “Verify”Confirm that the integration is running, seenzus reports Home Assistant as connected, and real device state appears on the home or spaces page.
